With our current year, we are exploring more than just studio paints. We have moved out into the real world using the body painting to promote the vehicle painting business. Custom paint is a tough business to get noticed in and we feel that this is the best way for potential clients to see our work and our work ethic. We are traveling with samples on display and our portfolio. If you've been to the site and you see us somewhere, by all means come up and tell us what you think. Tally-ho. |

Here we have the stirring story of a brave young knight who fearlessly journeys out into the enchanted forest seeking to vanquish the demons that plague the small village.
Our champion hears something in the undergrowth and valiantly thrusts his stately weapon into the bush.
But wait, what is this vestige moving through the trees? Tis not the usual dragon-lizardery thing.
Hi there, my name is Jezabelle and I will be your demoness for this evening.
Our special tonight is hero on a half shell.
Enter the heroine the forest nymph.
She is the power in this realm. Note the runes.
Vanquishing the demoness Bella claims her prize and demands her reward.
Somehow I don't see him complaining. Too bad it is only one night...
This paint was performed on Jenny Chaos for PKImages.com (shameless plug).
Back
If I had said "Ghost in the Shell" the "Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex Committee" would have sued my poor little web site. This image was the basis for the paint. Not a bad rendition if I do say so myself.
Melody Gore is the actress for this shoot and we believe she captured the feel and spirit of the anime. Adam, the photographer, was ripping his hair out building and rebuilding the set. Finally, his words, when Melody, the Major, entered the set it made sense.
This was a particularly long and draining paint for Lisa. The detail that she put in to the costume is evident in the larger images. Everyone involved wanted this to work out well. They did good. Just sit back relax and enjoy the show.
In Japanese animation the costumes look like they were sprayed on. WELL DUH!
How the hell did we (motorcycle people) get invited to a tattoo convention? Long story. It started with a motorcycle show (won an other trophy by the way) and Lisa getting bored. I'll link the whole story in the running comments.
Say hello to Raichel. She was a trooper. She started out as just working the booth and since the models didn't show up we grabbed her. And it seemed to work out quite well.
This is basically a step by step because we were there to generate crowds and not specifically for the final paint. Therefore Lisa painted.....v e r y s l o w l y.
Obviously I (Lee) didn't take all the pictures here. Rick of Photos by Rick took lots of pictures and has allowed us to use some (his name is on the bottom of those - hint hint). And Mathew of Buckshot Photography took a fancy to Raichel. That is not one of our bikes by the way, it was just a prop.
Here is Jezie Bella. What can I say about this woman. She seemed a bit self conscious at first but when it was time for the fashion show - she turned on the charm.
Jenny Chaos is back and now she is becoming an industry icon. Painted up as a Barbie Doll (copyright 2006 all rights reserved) we are shooting to be in the magazine Kustom Kulture. We're beating on any door we can find.
If you have any ideas for us go to the contact page and let me know. We can't pay ya anything but we will really appreciate it. I mean really.
Anyway back to the stuff you actually care about. JENNY!
Here she is in one of the final shots. I took a few of these but most of them were taken by Mitzi of Mitzi & Co. She's the photographer shooting the good stuff for the magazine. Always go with a professional for the hard stuff. Check out her website, she has some cool images there.
Here are some of the "in progress" shots. I don't mean to embarass you Jenny, but you're just so cute in those glasses.
We were doing a half-paint here because it is so much faster and we only planned to shoot her from the front and partial side. The problem with this is that when you are talking to her from the front, bare with me, when she is painted, well she is clothed. Then she turns around and walks away and there is a nude woman walking away, your mind just goes "What the hell!" I thought is was just a me thing or maybe a guy thing. But no, an hour later the makeup/hair stylist did the same thing.
Oh by the way the hair do and face makeup was done by Clair Nach, she doesn't appear to have a site or email but if you contact Mitzi or me we can give you her number.
Some of the pictures were designed make her look like she was in a box and some were there just to look good. I think they're all good.
Jenny's butt again. I know, how tragic.
Here we go with more details. Don't you hate these closeups? I know I do.
We went to the Bakersfield Thunder Run. It was HOT! No, I mean HOT, like over a hundred degrees hot. This generally not the type of climate to create a body paint, you know the sweating and the paint running thing. But wait we are professionals and endeavor to perform at that next level.
This job was to promote the Jack Daniels booth and they supplied a lovely model named Jenny that was more than up to the challenge with us. Our only complaint is that we have to find a few models with different names. When we talk about Jenny we have to use extra names and descriptions.
As you can see from these images we were creating a t-shirt with the Jack Daniels logo emblazoned on the front, I like images on the front better than the back, don't you. I thought you would.
Well here it is done and the reactions were all positive. I believe there were some actual cheers at this point.
Jenny was asked to pose with a few other products. Beauty always gets attention. That's how advertising works ya know.
This is an event that no one had planned on. Toward the end of the day Jenny was convinced to enter the Bikini contest. Personally I think the heat was effecting her judgement when she was conned into it. She was a bit of a modest young lady. And really she did well. She was amount the top five finalists. Not bad for someone that wasn't interested in the event.
I was forced to watch the whole contest to take these pictures, have I told you all what I think of my job?
Joesph was a young man working at the Jack Daniels booth. The reason that we used a model that was working at the booth, as a salesperson, was that the scheduled model didn't show up. Like that ever happens to us.
Anyway Lisa decided to do one for the ladies and to try a full backpiece with an old style tattoo look using a logo Lisa designed for Hidecore Leather. The whole piece was done with only two colors. A "faded tattoo" green and black that was just for details.
We took some shoots inside and outside then let the guy run amok on his own. We believed that the piece was pretty good, but when some tattoo artist showed up and thought it was a real tattoo, well, our heads swelled a bit.
Send all inquires here, I will pass them on.
Three Day Weekend at the Queen Mary
It says above that it was a three day weekend on the Queen Mary, well technically it was four days. We set up in the Boiler Room, a huge space that used to house boiler #3 when she could steam. Well the space wasn't lit very well at all but can you say potential... WOW.
Some background on this event. I signed up for the Johnny Chop Memorial Bike, Rod and Tattoo show months earlier. Lisa did a blind email to the promoter and he invited us to come on down and view the space. We invited Adam Chilson, a avante gard photographer whom we have worked with for years. (see his site in the links, it is worth it)
The space had to be lit so that people could at least see the stage where we would be working.
Thursday (day 1) we brought in about 4000 watts worth of lights. We thought that this would be okay, boy were we wrong. It was enough light to see and just work by. Adam's photographic lights covered the remaining needs, but they were later used in the "belly of the ship". Hence the "red" tint is some of the pictures that are not specifically "staged". (the candid and setup shots).
Anyway after 8 hours of setup on Thursday we believed that Friday was ready. We were ready for nothing. I will skip the trials and tribulations of the next three days. Hopefully the photos that you see will let you know that we work hard and are proud of the images we create.
Enjoy.
Here we have Raichel. We met her at the World Wide Tattoo Festival (see above) and she was such a trooper and interesting character that we ask her to be our "bill board" girl. We like her and we hope that you like her images.
These were the first images taken after Lisa finished her "bill board" paint. Right after this she when out into the show and worked the crowd.
This is one of the pictures while she was out.
Here is one of the other ones. As you can see, this was for promotional purposes, and with almost everyone with a camera taking a shot of her (with our name and website posted on her chest) it seemed to be a good way to go. Any serious questions?
These next images were taken by Adam in the Boiler Room. And these are the images that I'm sure you will be interested in. Take a close look at the paint. Lisa still does good work. It's all in the details.
These shots are for Raichel's portfolio. Nice portfolio.
At this point we learned that Raichel was a gymnast. Obviously she was good. Looks to me that she still is. Talk among yourselves.
After over six years in the Navy I never saw a bowson mate, hull tech or shipfitter that worked a valve quite in the same way. I feel I've been missing something.
And it lasted all the way to the bikini contest. Don't ask.
Miss Pixie is a name in the fetish community. A good name. She has a reputation that had us wanting to work with her for months. She ended up being painted on the main stage in the hold on Friday night. This was a high profile paint, but since it was a live on stage "performance" paint, the detail wasn't as high as we wanted for this young lady. With her permission we will work together again and do a more elaborate job.
On the other hand, she took the base that we provided and let her personality come through and worked the hell out of the crowd there. Look, enjoy and imagine. No not that, what is possible, no not that, what she can do, no not that. Never mind.
This is Stormy. We had Stormy for two separate paints. This one was on Friday night and was a simple red bikini. Sometimes simple is the best way to go.
She's not afraid of the camera.
These are the setup shots for Stormy. I didn't get all that I wanted, but things were complicated over the whole weekend.
This is Trace, the promoter, watching our work. I think he liked it.
Stormy in her element. Can't argue with this.
This is one of the vender booths they just had cool stuff and the arrow was hard to resist.
She did command a crowd. And when she was on, she was on. Keep going.
Stormy and Jenny. There were some there that would have paid me to escort these beauties around.
In case you didn't know this is Stormy again. This is how she arrived on Saturday.
Setup shots for the second day. We weren't on the main stage today, they had bands out there. We were setup on the stage in the Boiler Room and we had control and some time to work. This was an impressive look for this young lady.

Again here we are at the Rods part of the show.
Okay, I'll admit one thing about this vixen. I don't know her name. She was working at the Forever Tattoo booth and the consensus was that we needed to get her painted. No one has had a bad thing to say about that decision yet, and I don't expect any in the future. Oh my stars and garters.

If someone can supply a correct name she will be credited right here. Lee.
Megan has been a model for Adam more than once. She has done some things that are just amazing. How he gets these young ladies to do the things they do, I'll never know, but it has been said that the models will seek him out for the more creative photographs these days.
In this instance, Megan is going to Rocky Horror and she wanted to be Frankinfurter. She is known for doing "different" things and according to the reports from the show - She did good again.
Demure.
Regal.
Classic.
Megan working the crowd. 'Nuf said.
Nice er eyes.
Just a shot of the crowd while Megan was being painted. The crowd was a fluid thing that would ebb and flow all the time. People would come in at first and then return a half hour later to see the changes.
I picked this shot for a reason. Look at this shot and then scroll down.
This young lady was a volunteer from the crowd. We had a spot where the "professional" model supplied didn't show up for the gig. Something that seems to happen more often than one would expect is such a competitive field. She was going to a party where there theme was white. Oh did we do white.
This is the base with pasties.
From there I just love the look. It is simple and it is elegant and beautiful. What do you think. The pasties have become part of the design and Lisa's lace work is amazing. Late breaking news, she was the hit of the party. Duh.

Miss Mia was the spokes model for the Queen Mary show. She had a wonderful backpiece that we incorporated in the sailor paint.

The outfit was relatively simple in design, but it was very effective with the people in the isles. Oh so very effective.
Apparently I wasn't the only strange character in the hallways.
Happy boy.
Only sanitary piercings are allowed here.
Okay I'm a bit concerned.
And we know what your looking at.
Melody is a beautiful young lady that I can't comment about much. She is a volunteer that ask only to look pretty. It didn't work out as she ask. It is so hard to make beautiful only pretty.
See I told you.
I would be remiss to not give credit where it is due. A lot of the candid shots and some of the portraits at the Queen were shot by Rick of Photos by Rick. He is a well known guy in the tattoo community out here.
Harley Fest at Irvine Lake at Over 100 degrees
Oh it was hot, so hot, and we were trying out a new stage setup. It was our first try with a mobile stage that I had built with metal and hardware supplied by Adam. I have the time and skills, he has stuff, go figure. The stage was an old trailer that I had been using for a backup dragger. Adam gave me the requirements for a portable stage for his photo shoots and I spent some time with long pieces of metal.
Here is Miss Pixie. You met her before at the Queen Mary. Up above, remember? Okay, now were on the same page.
Lisa took the liberty to paint her and the Sportster at the same time. Neat concept, eh? Well we think that it came off pretty well. Talk about the power and the beauty. Nothing like flames on your tanks, so to speak.
We took some time for a bit of shameless promotion. Now here is a bit of trivia that you will find a bit interesting, see that Battledress logo on Pixie's rather fine posterior, well the sun was bright and after a few hours walking around she got a bit sunburn. Sooooo now she has a very trademarkable tan. Think about it. Hmmmmmm......
This is the stage from a wide shot. It's not the most impressive from way back yet, but if you are there live, up close it has a really good look. We are above the crowd and we can control the look.
The regular crowd of photographers were here, Adam and Rick and Rick's son Ricky were pointing and shooting all day.
If you look at the motorcycle section, you will see the Fireman's bike. I would give you a link but I want to look at all the bikes. Lisa painted Megan to match the girl on the fairing of Larry's bike.
This is Larry. Larry likes his bike. Larry seems to like Megan with his bike. Larry likes his wife so this is a good as it got. Sorry.
But we have more of lovely Megan around the bike. Enjoy.
The boots and the helmet are real firefighter gear, they were supplied by a secret source who shall remain nameless.

I don't actually know what she is doing here, but no one tried to stop her. I'm not sure why. It is a bit scary.
This is to prove that they were together. Double your pleasure.
The Woodstock Music Festival at Irvine Lake
This is a story that you just can't make up. We thought that we were invited to this event. That statement in and of itself should give you a clue of what is to come next.
We showed up and pulled in like we thought we were supposed to, note the word thought. There had been a slight mix up in the arrangements, we'll leave it at that, but since the promoter had seen us at the Harley Fest and we promised to behave they let us in.
Here is Megan again, she likes us and tends to show up with little provocation. Usually dinner and a few drinks.
Isn't this a lovely crocheted top.
Doesn't this look positively 60's. She's just so cute you want to eat her up.
An other volunteer. This is C'Jay. All hail the volunteers.
I don't have much to say about the following shots. These three girls, sorry, young ladies did this for fun and who am I to stop them.

Hello Georgia. An other lovely lady. She and C'Jay were at the booth next to us.

I don't know this ladies name but I've decided to call her Elvis because of the sunglasses and the attitude. Seems to work for me.
Bye-Bye.
To Cool. We were invited to Barris Kustoms to do a bit of late night shooting with Mitzi & Co. The "company" was Darenzia and Emily Marilyn. In case you don't know who George Barris is he built just a few of the most iconic machines in movies and tv. Let's see there was the original Batmobile, the Munster Koach, Monkeymobile, General Lee, Kitt and more than I can mention. If you are real curious here is a link to his site - Barris Kustoms - I have a few pictured at the end here that were at the shop the day we were there.
To really tell the truth, I have fibbed a bit from time to time, but I'm telling the truth now, I don't know why I was at the shoot but they said Barris Kustoms and I had the car packed in no time.
Emily was the first painted, while we were painting her Mitzi was out shooting Darenzia in "normal clothes" at the Munster Koach. As you know by now these paints can take a while so Darenzia got plenty of pictures.
Once the paint was finished it was out to the Kargoyle. It was a hearse painted up with gargoyles on the sides, hence the name. Work with me here.
Working on Darenzia while Emily is being photographed.
Enter Darenzia, and trust me this women make an impressive entrance.
The ladies seemed to work together pretty well together. Hell I was rooting for them.
These two shots I call destroying the illusion. If you look into the background of the shot you can see the mini-mart's lights over the gas pumps. Ah... Hollywood the lifestyle is just soooooo glamorous.
Hanging out at the Muster Koach.
Kitt, how are ya boy? Kitt? Damn he doesn't talk when Michael isn't around.
This is the Voodoo Spider. Cool, eh?
This Cobra actually has fangs.
This is Little Bastard. It is a replica of the car that James Dean died in, bummer man.
If your wondering why this "interesting" person is not painted or in a bikini or looking like a lot of the other ladies on our site it is because she is a mean drunk and wanted to hurt me. Okay she didn't actually say she wanted to hurt me, but she had that look.
Actually her name is Angela Warrick and she was the makeup artist that did all the glamour work on the models faces that took them from merely beautiful to the next level. You can contact her by email at angela_warrick@hotmail.com
Here are the web sites for Emily Marilyn and Darenzia. These are adult sites so be aware. Have fun.
Cool too. The lovely Aria Giovanni is seen here posing on a custom bobber in Mitzi's studio. As I'm sure you can figure out that this set of photos is for a motorcycle magazine. Trust me when they get published, I will let you know where and when.
Don't ya love a woman that knows her way around a bike?
If you saw this young lady going down the road on a bobber would it get your attention? Hell she could be in a '65 VW and she would get your attention.
Here is a link to her site, it is an adult site, but if you like her look then you'll like the site. Aria
