Gosh I wish I had something pithy to say for 2007. Since I don't, I'll just do some explaining. Tally-ho. |

Emily is a new step in our painted ladies saga. Not only does she have a fine frame and from what I understand a well tuned motor, she is a Certified Harley-Davidson mechanic. No kidding. We were introduced to her at Sanitarium Cycles where she was working. Rick one of our photographer friends (see him on the links page) spotted her and caught some shots.
She later approached us about a shoot to "prove to her grandkids that she once had a hot rod bod".
Okay.
In this sequence we see Emily hard at work doing some bodywork.
Kinda makes you wish you had an accident.
She smokes.
She's smokin'
and it is a bit hot.
But wait,
there are the glamor shots.
Now that you've gotten through all that, I have the technical stuff to talk about. She is painted. The top and the shorts. Look close, we are getting better.
And we will get even better.
All the pictures were taken by Rick of Photos by Rick.
Crystal was our first model at the Vargas BBQ. We were invited to help with "atmosphere" of the event. For some reason we seemed to fit right in.
Usually I have a tendency to ramble at this part but I'll just let the ladies speak for themselves.
These are my Hot Chicks Cool Cars pictures I'm speechless.
Belfast came to use as our second official model. She just fit into the look so elegantly.
Here she is sitting on my bike. Kinda' looks natural.
Here are all the women that we got to paint that day. I call this the good work if you can get it shoots. And believe me it is the best work you can get.
All these shots were taken by Ernie of Manrique Photos. Here is his contact information Manriquephotos. Now I know that some aren't bodypainted but damn. Can you blame me for included them? Beside these lovely's are all sitting on my award winning motorcycle. I can't pass that up.
Lee
Remember Crystal from the Vargas BBQ? Well here she is again on the first night of the Queen Mary show. I need to vent about this. Stay tuned I will explain all at the end.
This young man, anyone born before 1959 to me is a young man, was very helpful later in the evening.
Doesn't Rick look happy. He was the main photographer on this day. Check my links for his gallery and contact information or Photos by Rick.
Crystal looks good, doesn't she?
Well to make a long story short, while Crystal was walking around the INSIDE of the Tattoo show, a Long Beach Vice Sergeant decided that she was "indecent" and that the promoter hadn't gotten the correct permits for that part of the show. So we were told that we couldn't paint anyone on the ship that weekend.
That was two weeks planning and moving equipment and arranging models and photographers for nothing.
As Lisa says, "You can Pierce a nipple on the Queen Mary, you just can't paint it".
Disappointedly set adrift - Lee
Proof of Concept Shoot for Ace Energy
What I mean by the proof of concept shoot is that we met Ace Energy at the Vargas BBQ where they were promoting their product. Just happens that the girls on the cans lend themselves to one of the style of painting we do.
So we went out and took a few shots to see if we could get their attention.
Even if we don't get theirs, I bet I got yours.
The nurse is played by Miss Pixie and Jenny Chaos is our rather rambunctious army girl.
Some things in life you just don't want to mess with.
Ah, how many fetishes can we cover here.
Nice stacks, click on the picture to see why.
This was the latest shoot and ad that we did for OCC cosmetics. David (the owner of OCC) wanted to do something a bit different for the fall/late summer ad and suggested a Sid and Nancy type of look. This was our interpretation of the theme. The ad was intended to go into a fall issue of Makeup Artists Magazine, but, David loved it soooo much that he put it into the current issue. (On sale July 21, 2007)
In case you haven't identified the model yet, that is the imfamous Melodie Gore. She has been David's favorate female model for our series in his bodypaint line.
We had a wonderful time trashing the studio for this shoot. As you can see, Melodie was not inhibited to assist in the decoration. Our photographer for this ad was Joseph Corsentino. We think he took a rather interesting array of images.
Then we got to the art shots. Ya gotta love the art shots.
Is it safe to say that this wouldn't be considered the normal makeup job? Well every girl needs to be beautiful on the inside too.
They say there is nothing like a nice set of ribs on a chilly evening. O-kay, what's causing the chill? Cool air or that YOU CAN SEE INSIDE THE WOMAN?!?!?!
This gives a whole new meaning to the term "killer abs".
Don't you hate it when you get up in the morning and you have just gone to pieces overnight. You keep thinking "I'm never going to do that again".
Here Sabrina is building her "unsob" for the perfect evening out on the town, so to speak.
The perfect picture of sophication.
Credits on this one, since I had so much fun with the text -
Sabrina was brought to us by Cosmic Frogs Photography and they were both very patient with us this day.
Thanks all.
Michael is back. Lisa decided that it was time she fell in the standard bodypainter rut and do a stone statue. Everyone deserves one in their portfolio just to say "Oh yeah, I've done that", and it is the topic of her next article in AirBrush Magazine.
Just trying to get you your money's worth here folks.
